Our CEO Lukas Olbrich released an article recently on LinkedIn which focuses on the pro’s and con’s of file-exchange (following BIM guidelines) and the use of APIs. He argues that the intelligent use of APIs may save time and money and therefore should be extended throughout the construction industry.
The industry needs to stop wasting time exchanging information, information needs to flow through projects & offices. From my perspective, users would love to put data into one system and – if this data is important to have in another system – seeing that data in said other system – without any interaction.
